The emergence of knowledge economy and its globalization / liberalization has increased the relevance of Business Excellence for the contemporary business. Apart from the concerns for increasing productivity and quality, the customer requirements of choice and speed have added the third dimension of ‘flexibility’in the ambit of Business Excellence. There is a need to evolve new innovative Business Excellence models to integrate flexibility at different layers of the organizations.
‘GLOGIFT 07’, an International Conference with the theme “Flexibility with Business Excellence in the Knowledge Economy”is an effort to provide a global forum for practitioners, policy makers, teachers, researchers and learners to share their practical experiences, knowledge and insight in the evolution, formulation and implementation of strategies and models for business excellence incorporating flexibility in the context of emerging knowledge economy.

| OBJECTIVE |

The objective of the conference would be to provide a knowledge sharing platform for dissemination of research and experiential findings through empirical study, qualitative modeling, case studies, new concepts and state-of-the-art studies. It is intended to address various frameworks, models, and best practices in Business Excellence for flexible, dynamic, and sustainable organizations to meet the requirements of emerging knowledge economy.

| ABOUT UP TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY |

Uttar Pradesh Technical University was established by the Government of U. P. on 8th May 2000 as the seat of learning for imparting a well coordinated. multi-disciplinary quality education in the fast changing scenario, and to accelerate the advancement and development of technical education which includes Education, Research and Training in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Pharmacy, Applied Arts & Crafts and such other Programmes and areas as the Central Government may in consultation with AICTE declare. The jurisdiction of the UPTU extends to whole of the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The U.P. technical University spread over 2,40,000 square Km. in the entire region of U. P. from Ghazipur in the East to Noida adjacent of Delhi in the West, from Jhansi in south to Saharanpur in North, is the biggest Technical University in Asia, with nearly 150,000 students enrolled in 238 institutions affiliated to it.

Registration fee to be paid by draft / cheque in favour of “GLOGIFT 07” payable at Delhi.
Note: 10% discount will be for early bird registration before September 30, 2007.
Registration fee includes a copy of the conference proceedings, registration kit, tea, lunches, official dinner and attendance in session services. The registration fee does not include the cost of boarding/lodging etc.
Cancellation: 80% refund will be made for cancellation before October 30, 2007 after which not refund of registration fee will be made.

| PROCEEDINGS |
| |
|
Full text of the accepted papers will be published in the form of proceedings and shall be available at the time of conference. At least one author should register before September 30, 2007 to enable smooth processing of the paper for inclusion in the proceedings. Selected papers presented at the conference will also be considered for publication in “Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management” on other e-Journals of GIFT after due review process.
